 The Afghanistan government has been in place for six years, and proved itself to be as bad as the Taliban. In actuality, it is little more than a carbon copy of the Taliban. The situation in Afghanistan is getting worse with the dawning of each new day. The situation is not just worse for women, but for each and every person in Afghanistan.

An undisclosed Afghan women states that the country is being run by a mafia, and while it is in power there is no hope for freedom for the people of Afghanistan. How can anyone, man or woman, enjoy simple freedoms when living under the rule of warlords? The current government was not elected in a democratic fashion , and it is now trying to instill or utilize Islamic lawto deplete women’s rights.

In 2007 more women committed suicide in Afghanistan than ever before. This is certain proof that the situation has worsened. The murder of women in Afghanistan is like the killing of pigs, because this government is totally against women’s rights, and freedoms. Women are at great risk.

Here recently a young woman no more the 23 years of age was raped by 15 local army officers in front of her children. When they had finished having their way with this young mother they urinated in the faces of the on-looking children. These type of barbaric actions are extremely common in Afghanistan.

The undisclosed women highly condemns her government and their actions against Sayed Pervez Kambaksh. This situation has exposed the corrupt state that this government operates. The Afghan government is willing to go to extreme lengths to prevent freedom of speech. Mr Kambaksh has not broken any law, he is a journalist, one who is not afraid of the Afghan government, and willing to write freely about it, exposing the corruption of the fundamentalist Islamics in power.

This year has been one of the worst for journalists in Afghanistan, and they are now in a lot of danger. It just simply has been a blood bath.

If Mr Kambaksh is killed for his courage to write the truth about what is truly going on in Afghanistan, then next week it will only be someone else. The situation that journalist are faced with gives you a clear indication of the level of freedom and democracy in Afghanistan.

This undisclosed young lady sends out a plea to Western Democracies to intervene, and speak up in defense of this innocent journalist. If not they will certainly kill him. Again I plead, this is an innocent man whose life is in real danger.

The country’s parliament is a joke, its like something off of Wizard of Oz. It is corrupt and chaotic beyond explanation. It is run by by people who should be sent to prison for their crimes against humanity. They were not democratically elected so it should come as no surprise that they are implementing these barbaric, and undemocratic sentences.

There are far to many examples of human rights violations than I like to admit , but cannot deny, raging from rapes to imprisonments and killings. This young ladies courage to voice her opinion, which could jeopardize her own safety is to raise international awareness of these issues. She however is stuck in Kabul after having her passport seized.

In addition to these horrors the economy is in shambles. It is reported that the unemployment rate is 60 percent, but in fact is closer to 90 percent. Hundreds of poor people died in the winter from hypothermia, and women were so poor that they tried to sell their babies because they could not feed them.
