Gary Michael Hilton is charged already in Dawson County Georgia, Dawsonville City in one killing, that of Meredith Emerson. Hilton not only told the investigators where the body was, but he actually led them personally to it in Dawson Forrest Wild Life Management Area. Hilton has been named the prime suspect in another case involving Cheryl Hodges Dunlap 46 of Crawfordville Florida (Fla.). Hilton is also under investigation concerning two other cases. Hikers John and Irene Bryant, John 74, and Irene 84 were last seen on October the 20th 2007 near the Mount Pisgah area of North Carolina. Irene Bryant’s body was found three weeks later while John Bryant’s has not been found, but is presumed dead.

It is a growing concern that perhaps Hilton went on a killing spree. The cases mentioned as well as a few others have very similar markings. In the bodies that were found they had received trauma (blunt force trauma) as cause of death. It is reported also that the bodies had been mutilated. In the case of Meredith Emerson that was found in the Wild Life Management Area of Dawson Forrest she had been decapitated. Authorities said that she was killed prior to this horrific act.

People we have a growing and an alarming problem in this country dealing with crimes against other individuals. Just in the corner of the country we live the metro Atlanta area we had Justin Gaines that disappeared on November the 11th after last being seen at Wild Bills night club. He has not been seen or heard from. There is a $50,000.00 reward out for his safe return. The family maintains a website at http://www.justingaines.com. On November the 9th of 2007, Kyle Fleischmann Disappeared after last being seen at the Buckhead Saloon in Charlotte North Carolina (NC). His family also maintains a website at http://www.helpfindkyle.com. The have also set up the Kyle Fleischmann foundation. On November the 9th 2006 Jason Roark Disappeared, and was last seen in the Gwinnett County Georgia area. Jason Roark was a 6 year Army Iraq Veteran. He has been missing for over a year. Most as statistics show never even make the newspaper.

I have yet to hear any of our presidential candidates in any of their campaign speeches for office of president in 2008 mention this growing problem. Few have. Facts are facts. In 1980 the U.S. Statistics showed approximately 150000 people went missing, in 2007 this number has alarmingly risen to over 859000. Now those are facts. We need legislation to at least insure missing adults are placed in NCIC as soon as they are reported missing without delay. Also there needs to be funds in legislation for organization to form to assist the families in these situations. In the event of an adult going missing Law Enforcement in almost all cases refuse to do anything until 72 hours have passed, and even then do very little. This is based on reports from families that have experienced the horrible nightmares. We need some solutions folks. This is out of control, and we do not even know it until it hits our own community.

Now on a more positive note there is a program coming out that is going to put the advertising industry on its head.
