To Heal a Nation The Doctor Seeks Cure after Diagnosis Is Obama The Right Medicine?

We have been extremely busy as the Presidential Election has sunk into the American mind. Our time has been consumed finishing a book that is well needed by many (view preview at following link) Description of book soon to hit in 1-2 weeks. It is being edited and checked for error at the moment. I know many will be glad as I am notorious for typos.

Unfortunately we have been unavailable for comment, but it has inadvertently paid dividends. God gave each of us two ears and one mouth for a reason. Sometimes we need to listen twice as much as we speak. Our busy schedule has caused us to have little time to weigh in on most of the events that have occurred since the Election of Barack Obama as the next United States President. I find it absolutely intriguing. Obama won by taking 53 percent of the popular vote but amazingly he has already gained the confidence of America with an already 70 percent approval rating, and has yet to take office.

I strongly feel that this high approval rating prior to taking office is largely due to his aggressive, and bold approach. It truly disheartens me that some even though they represent a minority are still spouting negatives.

I truly feel that President Elect Obama deserves our support. Regardless of our political party and despite our beliefs in any other area.

America has found itself in perilous times both diplomatically, and economically. We have to realize that taken the condition our country  there is in no one man that can be placed into office and produce a magic cure for  our dilemma.

It is going to take the American people to get behind this new President Barack Obama. Time of apathy must end in this country. It is a shame that it has taken the onset of a financial crisis to jar American citizens to the point of being attentive. Better late than never I suppose. That is a optimistic way of viewing the situation.

Many have focused their attention on political issues due to the financial crunch. I only hope that they do not slip back into complacency. If we allow ourselves to become complacent again, and take the notion that we have elected into office the cure for our woes-and return to our normal behaviors we will greatly reduce the effectiveness of President Elect Obama’s Administration.

If we do not adjust our priorities to allow for participation which is our responsibility we will see further erosion of our Nation. We have to accustom ourselves to staying on top of events. We have to quickly train ourselves to frequently view current legislation. We have to constantly track how our respective Congressmen, and  Senators are voting, and know the legislation that they may enter into the House or Senate.

We not only refers to “non-elected officials”, but to all, including the Senators, and Congress persons.

I have observed very harsh comments regarding the President elect by a couple of Elected Officials. They also need to come together in this difficult time our Nation is experiencing. There is no time for trivial games or personality conflicts nor is this a time for party politics and attacks. We have a Nation in need. The only “CURE” is a “United PEOPLE” both Citizens, and Elected Officials.

I think that most Citizens that have been jarred to their senses by this financial crisis will eventually if they maintain their vigilance agree with me that we have been dormant, irresponsible Citizens. Once we can realize this, and adjust this behavior then and only then we can address issues if they arise  with our respective House, and Senate members. That is our responsibility as the fourth element that makes up the branches of government in this GREAT REPUBLIC. Our vote is the check and balance for the House, and Senate. It is a very powerful check and balance. A 35 percent turnout at the polls by registered voters as we have experienced over the last couple of decades is not very powerful hence the need of participation to the levels of over 50 percent. Then you have tremendous power.

As a former member of the United States Air Force, and Gulf War veteran I tend to view politics different. I view the Commander and Chief as just that. No matter the political party. I vote the way I feel I need to vote. Win lose or draw I support the winner. We must support the winner and stop the power depleting negative comments toward a newly elected President that has had no time to even fowl things up or make a mistake.

Stop the rumors, and stop the negativism. Having made no mistakes this type of behavior only causes division, and at a time when UNITY is desperately needed. I fear many that are still out there spouting negatives have simply turned their attention from George W. Bush to the next in line Barack Obama. It almost appears in many cases that some of the doomsayers have to have something to complain about to exist. That is not healthy for our Nation. Will I catch heat for the comments I place here today–probably, but why? Many simply do not understand the agenda that USA180 has.

USA180 started out with one agenda. It may well be multi-faceted, but it has not diverted from the initial cause to date. Many misunderstand USA180 due to the fact that many only hear or read what they want to hear, and then assume the rest.

USA180 is a Pro-Constitutional 527 organization. We embrace all aspects of the constitution, not simply those Constitutional items that are convenient or ones that have special meaning. We embrace the whole document. We understand the document. I was quite disappointed on an issues back in August. We took on the Scott Loper Story. A Civil Rights Issue minimally speaking. When we began soliciting others to aid us, both individuals and other organizations I never dreamed there would be any negative comments raised. Surprisingly there was. Some could not understand why we would take on a civil rights issue. I say how can you not if you claim to be Pro-Constitution? If not there then where do you start? There is an old adage–how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

THE  SCOTT LOPER TRAGEDY IN SCOTT LOPERS OWN WORDS

If we fail a fellow citizen that was victim to a Article 36 Vienna Convention violation, If we fail to aid a fellow citizen who has a child missing that was 3 years old at the time, and would be 9 now how can we possibly help any of the other 300 million in our society in whole or in part?

USA180 is a Pro-Constitutional Organization with one main agenda. That is to preserve our Constitution, and to Preserve this great Republic. We offer no solution to this dilemma. What? You offer no solution? No we do not. We are non-partisan yet our membership is made up of Citizens from all parties. We are non-religious yet our members have vast religious diversities. We are totally against prejudice in any form, and no we offer no solution. Our purpose and agenda is to encourage Citizens to participate. Encourage them to return to their stations of duty as responsible Citizens. To educate them on legislation, and to Stand for Civil Rights. We hope to instill in the minds of Americans the ideas of old. We hope to encourage our young adults and youth to start out as responsible citizens.

We cannot expect our schools or other institutions to teach our children responsible Citizenship. We have to return to some of our long lost values. These values are instilled in our young at home, and further taught by example.

This I suppose may not be “the” solution, but it is certainly and without doubt the very first step that must be taken in order to heal a wounded Nation. If we skip this fundamental step we will not recover from this current dilemma no matter who is in the White House.

When a once apathetic Citizen returns to being a responsible Citizen then they can go out and choose and organization to aid. They can get involved with any of the dozens and dozens of organizations. First they must return to being well informed participating Citizens, and that is an individual task.

The very makeup of USA180 allows for individuals and groups alike to come together with us at times to aid in items of common interest. USA180 does not and can not seek solidarity with any group. USA180 does however, seek and need alliances on issues we bring forth. A group or organization may feel compelled to join alliance on a particular issue, and then choose not to on the next. USA180 is very different than other organizations. Our make-up allows any and everyone to join together with us on issues, and in the task of returning to responsible Citizenship. This must however begin in side ones self. It must begin with the person in the mirror. Will you look in the mirror today?
